Adopt A Family

Homelessness is all around us. But for the grace of God, we or a loved one could be homeless, too. Especially as we enter into the Christmas season, we should look for ways to reach out and assist our brothers and sisters in need.

SPX Bowie will once again be adopting families from the Warm Nights Homeless Shelter.        Most of these families have children.  Family sizes range from two to twelve individuals, including children, parents (sometimes Grandparents too!).  Anyone (a family, small group,    book club, scout group, co-workers, etc.) can choose a family to adopt and provide Christmas gifts for them this year.

All 33 families have been adopted!  Thank you!

Adult volunteers with trucks or large SUVs are needed to transport the gifts to the shelter in Beltsville on Dec. 19th at 10 am.
