Malaquias and his wife have been married for 26 years and have 2 daughters. They joined SPX about 14 years ago and he is involved in a small group and serves as a lector. He has been a university professor at UConn for nine years and has a research lab focused on sensor networks, computer models, and renewable energy. Prior to that, he worked as a scientist at the National Weather Service and adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, College Park for 14 years. On a rainy day, you’ll find him playing board games and snacking on potato chip and peanut butter ice cream. He’d love to travel to Oaxaca, Mexico for traditional food and festivities.
