Lectors tell the story of God and bring Scripture to life for our faith community during Mass. By sharing your voice, you help open hearts to God's message and deepen our worship experience. It is a meaningful opportunity for anyone who loves Scripture and enjoys public reading.
Because public reading in a sacred space requires a specific set of gifts, we hold brief, informal voice and comfort assessments for new lectors. This simple step helps us ensure you feel completely confident at the ambo and that your voice carries clearly throughout the sanctuary.
